The Max Planck Institute for Developmental Biology is an international research institute with scientists from more than 40 countries. To provide postdoctoral fellows with an opportunity to pursue research into new directions, the institute has established a program for guest scientists who have recently received their PhD. Our program aims to award competitively 5-8 stipends a year to outstanding international researchers seeking to develop their knowledge and skills in one of the research directions represented at the institute.
Stipends have a limited duration of 2 years and amount to between 2,100 and 2,300€ per month, depending on experience; additional financial assistance can be provided for health care and family support.
Applications may be submitted to our department directors and research group leaders at any time.
