The book contains a CD with the programs that allows to repeat the simulations on a PC. The parameters can be changed interactively. The source code is provided in BASIC (DOS). With compilers available on the web, the programs can be changed. In this way, new interactions can be included. Also included are simulations of more general pattern-forming situations, e.g., regeneration in hydra. Animated simulations with explanations and comparisons to the real pattern are given in html format, which can be inspected with any browser.
