Department 2 Biochemistry

Introduction

The Department of Biochemistry is devoted to studying post-transcriptional mechanisms of gene expression, focusing on various aspects of RNA biology. We use an interdisciplinary approach combining biochemistry and bioinformatics together with structural, molecular and cellular biology. The research groups in the department engage in collaborative research projects sharing expertise and resources. The department also provides excellent opportunities for undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral training in an open and interactive setting.
